Education, Training and Development. Part of the job description of all our senior staff is the education and training of our Care Assistants. The care we offer can only be of a high standard if we are committed to a programme of education and training. It is our policy that new Care Assistants will enrol for the National Vocational Qualification, Level II, in Direct Care, after six months. Without a properly trained and motivated care staff we could not offer the high standards we currently achieve nor hope to achieve in the future.
Good morale and staff motivation are essential elements in providing the care for your relative/friend. In order to underpin other staff activities, all our senior staff have undergone training in Individual Performance Review techniques so that they are able to review the work of the staff for whom they are the designated 'Supervisor'. In this way we (formally) appraise the work done by our staff and recognise the importance of the contributions they make to the running of the Home. In addition and very importantly, it gives us the opportunity to identify education, training and development needs. Hair Dressing, Chiropody & Physiotherapy. Hairdressing and chiropody are provided. The hairdresser comes in every week and the Chiropodist (a Chartered member) comes in every two months. Physiotherapy is provided by Southam & Feeney (Chartered Physiotherapists) who visit every two months to review all the patients and advise our trained staff in remedial activities. Personal physiotherapy can be arranged with them but this will have to be paid for and is a matter between you and them. Northamptonshire Chamber of Commerce. We are members of the Chamber and therefore gain from having a wide range of contact both local and national which can help support business in many ways. The Chamber offers its members amongst other things, training; marketing; networking and legal services. Registered Nurse Care Contribution (RNCC). This is some times referred to as the 'free nursing care element' This is a more than slight misnomer in that the Government has decided that nursing care will only cover up to a maximum of £129.00 per week. Your relative or friend will be assessed and depending on the outcome will receive £40.00 (low); £80.00 (medium) or £129.00 (high) per week.
